Sheena Brown is a multi-dimensional designer with a vibrant creative style and a celebrated “eye for design.” After studying at The School of Bridal Consulting through Ashworth College in Atlanta, she founded Fatirah’s Designs in Grand Rapids in 2003, a company known for transforming ordinary spaces into elegant, imaginative experiences. Her design philosophy is bold yet refined, guided by mottos such as “Simple, but Elegant,” “We operate in a spirit of excellence,” and “Just use your imagination; no event is too big or too small.”
Over the years, Sheena’s work has been featured across numerous magazines, podcasts, and media platforms, including Jet Magazine, Polished Perspective Magazine, Woman’s World Magazine, The Grand Rapids Times, Grand Rapids Magazine, and recognitions from community organizations, public schools, and statewide leaders. Her approach blends creativity, color, faith, and a deep commitment to serving people well.
In addition to running her business full-time, Sheena has dedicated more than 30 years to serving as a Special Education educator, a role that reflects her heart for people and her unwavering commitment to excellence. Outside of her professional life, she loves spending time with her husband and two children, organizing and creating at home, and grounding her life in faith and Scripture.
Sheena brings to our speaker series her contagious enthusiasm, her gift for imaginative design, and a powerful story of dedication, resilience, and purpose. Her perspective reminds us that creativity, faith, and excellence can transform not only events but people’s lives.
